My son Austin has been skating and playing hockey since he was 3 years old and has taken private and semi private lessons from other coaches in the area during this time. During the Covid pandemic, my son grew both in height and size. Without the ability to work through his body changes on the ice, his skating was severely affected, most notably with his speed. Using our hockey network of friends, we were directed to reach out to Coach Ryan. My son began working with coach Ryan about 5 weeks ago and from the moment we stepped foot in his facility, Austin had a smile on his face and we haven’t looked back since. What really struck me about Coach Ryan is his ability to relate to the kids and to tailor his instruction to their personalities as well as their skill sets. Coach Ryan has found a way to relate and get through to my son on a completely different level than any other coach and we are seeing the results of his work on the ice. What’s even better is that Ausitn himself, at 7 years old, is correlating his success on the ice to Coach Ryan’s instruction and help. All Austin needed was a coach to take the time to understand him, his personality and what his strengths are on this ice. More importantly, he needed someone to believe in him and his abilities. Coach Ryan is patient, professional, incredibly skilled and I am proud to have my son be coached by Ryan Dupraw. If you are looking for a coach to help your child become a better skater and hockey player, I highly recommend you reach out to him.

“From a parent perspective, I get their relentlessness. You're special, Ryan. And I don't say that to blow smoke. You are. And there are SO many coaches who simply check the boxes and run the lesson plan without actually caring if the kids get what they need. You're like a skating unicorn. And anyone who has seen you with the kids (or heard the rumors) knows their kid will benefit from you”
